Saturday's Fund Raiser

I think most everyone has been contacted and assigned a 2 hour slot to sale flags in front of Wal-Mart. If you don't have a slot please contact me or just show up between 9 AM and 3 PM and help out. We WILL NOT be wearing our Class A uniform on Saturday, we will be in Class B's, if you do not have a class B we have some extra's that you may wear until we can order some new ones. Saturday night we will meet at the Scout Hut to dispose of the Flags we've collected, we will wear our Class A Saturday night. The Ceremony will start at 7 PM, if you want to participate in the ceremony you will need to be at the scout hut by 6 PM to help set up. The Public is invited to attend so we need to put on a good program, we may have a few or we may have a lot, I'm not sure what type of turnout to expect. After the ceremony all scouts are welcome to stay and we will have some type of refreshments or maybe a pizza party!!!!

2 campouts and a Service Project

We have an OA campout this weekend, I will know later this week when we are meeting to leave Friday. The following weekend we have the Troop Campout at S-F Scout Ranch I will need to know by Monday's meeting who is planning to attend. If you are available this weekend we have a service project to help the Cub Scout Pack with their activity day. Scouts are needed at 9 AM Saturday morning to help move equipment and set things up, and sunday to help with the activities. Everyone should be contacted later this week with more information on this.

Whats Going on with 272

Well if you missed it and not many did we had a great weekend at Baker Lodge, 16 scouts and 5 adults made the trip. It sure is nice to have a place to go camping in the winter and not freeze, even though the weather was exceptionally warm for February. Most of the weekend was spent having fun but we did take the afternoon to go on a hike and stop off at the Wapappello Dam spillway. Coming up we have OA Fun Weekend, it's the same weekend of the Kennett High School Play and a couple of our scouts (Brandon Hargrave and Tyler Gentry) will have to miss it while they practice their acting skills. I hope the rest of you OA scouts will take advantage of a great weekend getting together with the scouts from all over the district for fun and games. The weekend after that is our troop campout, we will be camping at S-F Ranch and if things go as planned will will go to the caves at Bonne Terre I will send out more information on this next week. Finally we will finish up February with a fund raiser we will be selling American Flags starting March 26th details will follow as this gets closer.
